Shipping Your Unit In for Calibration

Thank you for ordering a NIST‑Traceable calibration from COGWELL. Please follow the steps below to send your instrument in for service.

1. Complete your order

Add the calibration service to your cart and check out. You'll receive an order confirmation email with your order number.

2. Wait for your RMA number

After your order is placed, a COGWELL representative will email you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Please do not ship your unit until you have received your RMA number — it ensures your instrument is tracked to your order the moment it arrives.

3. Label your shipment

Write your RMA number clearly on the outside of the box, and include a printed copy of your order confirmation inside.

4. Pack it safely

  • Use the original packaging if you have it; otherwise double‑box with at least 2” of foam or bubble wrap on all sides.
  • Include all relevant accessories needed for the calibration — power cable, test leads, probes, modules, or cards.
  • Secure any loose modules or cards so they don't shift in transit.
  • Insure the shipment for its full replacement value.

5. Ship to

COGWELL, Inc.
Attn: Calibration Department (RMA #______)
1700 Wyatt Dr, Ste 1
Santa Clara, CA 95054
United States

6. Turnaround

Typical turnaround is 5–7 business days after we receive your unit. We'll email you when your instrument ships back with its calibration certificate and data report.
