How do I add a DMM to a 34970A that does not have one installed?

Keysight part number 34970-80010 is a customer installable retrofit kit containing all the parts and instructions necessary to add DMM capability to a 34970A mainframe. If you ordered the 34970A with option 001, your 34970A does not have an internal DMM. This retrofit kit upgrades your 34970A option 001 to a standard 34970A.

The DMM is calibrated at the factory and ships with a calibration certificate. The user should perform the "Zero Adjustment" procedure after installation. This procedure requires a 34901A (preferred) or a 34902A module. A 34908A module cannot be used here since it does not support 4-wire resistance measurements. The instrument will then meet measurement specifications for one year.
